Thank you for your generous contributions for provision of sewing training, moringa value added products making, Palmira products making training to poor rural women through esteemed organization GlobalGiving.

To help poor women, we are identifying the economically disadvantaged  poor in rural areas, where the women are facing lot of problems to run their families, educate their children and timely medical support to their family members. In our analysis most of the poor women are lack of skills to earn, because of poverty, discrimination among the community. Some of the women are forcedly send to the nearby landlords houses to work as domestic servant maids, to take care of the small baby children.  Thus their children are becoming child labors and drop outs from school. We are also helping the poor children by providing school bags, note books, pen, pencil, school fee, uniforms, which is not sufficient to run their families. They need skill trainings to escape poverty.

Your support enable us to provide various skills trainings to rural poor to earn, to get jobs in organizations, industries and to start self-business. Your support not only enable us to provide trainings but also free sewing machines, Embroidery cots etc. Through such programs more than 1500 women have become self-business women. Now they are able to send their children to school, pay school fee, buy school bag, note books, shoes etc. They don’t have any problem to feed their family and to meet their family medical expenses.

One your beneficiary said “ My name is Revathi. I am from a poor family. My husband is a agriculture coolie and get job around 100 days in a year. We were suffering to feed our 2 children and spend for medical expenses.

I joined in sewing training in CHHASE and after the training in CHHASE training centre, by seeing my family economical condition, CHHASE has provided me sewing machine free of cost to start self-business. With my hard work, today I own one more sewing machines and employed 1 more person. I am now happy to inform you that, I am earning 1200 rupees after all my expenses. Now without any difficulties, I am able to send my three children to school, feed my family and meet medical expenses. Thank you for your help to give a secure and safe future.”

We express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support through GlobalGiving. Your generosity has been pivotal in transforming the lives of women from underprivileged communities by equipping them with vital skills and the confidence to build independent futures.

Since 2005, CHHASE has been actively implementing  Skills Training Programs aimed at uplifting economically disadvantaged women and girls. To foster sustainable livelihoods, we have been conducting fashion courses tailored specifically for destitute women and adolescent girls in rural areas. These programs are driven by the strong determination of women who approach us with the desire to learn, earn, and contribute to their families.

Currently, we operate in fourtraining centers—in Thirumanikuppam Village, Thirupandiyur , Mappedu village and eraiyamangalm of Tiruvallur district, where 122 women are enrolled. Over the course of four months, they receive hands-on training in stitching various garments including school uniforms, blouses, saree falls, frocks, embroidery,trouses, shirts and more.

Upon completing the program, many participants begin earning an average of 6,000 per month by taking stitching orders from their local village people. This steady income is not only helping them to meet essential family needs but is also enabling them to pay their children’s education

The positive ripple effect of this initiative extends beyond just the trainees—it impacts their entire households. The women have shared their sincere appreciation for this opportunity, and their dedication is a powerful testament to the program’s success.
