Jane working at Agatha Amani Farm
Jane was a resident at Agatha Amani House for a period of 1 year and graduated in Febuary 2023. Through your support, Agatha Amani was able to support Jane with basic equipments to start her life and 3 months rent. Following her hard work and interest to all the skills trained at the shelter, Jane stand out and was offered an opportunity at AAH. She has now joined the AAH staff as the Caregiver and Farm Assisstant. Her prior knowledge of the farm when she was a resident and her dedication to learn and help around was a key determinant when transitioning her to a staff of AAH and show the other survivors the program is worth their future in the organization, as they are the perfect mentors since they have gone through the program. we are happy to have Jane onboard. She sometimes stays at the shelter and also goes back to her home for some days when she is not on duty. This has continued to make AAH a surviors led shelter.

Recently received donations from this campaign has been of great help to our Jijenge Program! We recently transitioned Stacy, one of our women who have been housed at our shelter. Stacy joined a hairdressing vocational center, and through the donations, we have been able to support her with her basics and that of her child during her schooling period. She is now done with her hairdressing vocational course. Stacy just did her examinations one month ago and she is now waiting for her results. This is a success to Stacy and also to Agatha Amani House! It was severally reported to us that Stacy was the best in her class and that her discipline was very good. Her class attendance was also perfect and this motivated her tutors in supporting her more. Discipline and work ethics is a key component of AAH's teaching. Thank you GlobalGiving for your contribution towards Stacy's education. Stacy is currently waiting for her results, and also to receive her start up kits for her business. She is however making an income already from her hairdressing skills and she hopes to improve more and make better returns as she gains more experience in her job.
