The final quarter of the year was a deeply transformative period for transition and reintegration at Agatha Amani House. During this time, we supported both new beginnings and important transitions within the shelter community. One child was successfully born at the shelter, a powerful reminder of safety, care, and dignity restored. We also supported a baby transition, ensuring that both mother and child moved forward with continued support and stability.
Alongside these milestones, we welcomed new survivors into the shelter. These women began their healing journeys through counseling, emotional support, and structured daily routines. They are gradually introduced to skills-building activities such as permaculture, baking, sewing, crocheting and beading, helping them regain confidence at their own pace.
As the year came to a close, some survivors also moved closer to readiness for reintegration. Through ongoing mentorship and planning, we continued preparing women for life beyond the shelter emotionally, socially, and practically. The Christmas season provided an opportunity for reflection, bonding, and reassurance that no one is alone during this transition. 9
Your support continues to make it possible for survivors to move from crisis to stability, from fear to hope, and from survival to choice.
