Dear Global Givers,
As Giving Tuesday approaches, we want to share what your support truly means to the children of El Sistema Greece.
Every day, our students arrive from refugee camps, temporary accommodation facilities, and neighborhoods where life can be uncertain and stability fragile. They come to our classrooms and rehearsal rooms carrying experiences that would challenge anyone. But the moment they pick up an instrument or begin to sing, something changes. Their posture softens. Their focus sharpens. They get to feel like children again. They feel curious, creative, and part of something bigger than themselves.
Today, we’re sharing a short video featuring the voices of our young musicians. Nothing in it is scripted. It’s simply them speaking about what music has brought into their lives: a friend, a sense of pride, a feeling of safety when they play. These are small statements with a lot behind them. And they are only possible because of you.
Your contributions don’t just support our lessons. They create consistency for children whose lives have lacked it. They offer a space where a child can hear applause for the very first time. They help turn music into connection and growth.
We hope you’ll watch the video and read their words. Their voices say more than we ever could.
Thank you for standing with us, and for offering these children not only opportunities, but a sense of possibility.
With gratitude,
El Sistema Greece
