Dear Friends,
We are pleased to share the latest progress from Terat, made possible thanks to your continued generosity and commitment to our work.
This quarter, we have focused on improving the reliability of the radio station’s power system. The high-voltage batteries have undergone essential reliability fixes, meaning that ORS FM now has more dependable power even during poor weather or overnight – crucial times when consistent broadcasting can make a real difference.
We have also updated the settings on the inverters to optimise performance, further improving the stability of the station’s power supply. These changes mean that the radio can continue broadcasting health information, news, and community updates to the nomadic Maasai communities without unexpected interruptions.
Thanks to these upgrades, the station is better equipped than ever to serve listeners across northern Tanzania, and even into Kenya, ensuring vital information reaches those who need it most.
As always, please do feel free to share news of this project with friends and family – your support is helping to keep voices on the air and communities connected.
Many thanks and kind regards,
Kirsten and the SVRG Team
