Despite recent political developments, the situation in Syria remains critical, with severe shortages of essential goods, water, and electricity. For this reason, investing in alternative energy sources is crucial to ensuring a dignified life for families. Every contribution can make a difference, providing those in need with access to vital resources and hope for the future.
Syria's grid is intermittent-many areas get only a few hours of electricity daily-while fuel scarcity and high diesel prices make generators unaffordable. Sanctions, economic collapse and the 2023 earthquake worsened access to energy; homes, clinics and schools suffer blackouts and many families lack heating and hot water.
PTS installs combined photovoltaic and thermal kits (panels, batteries, pumps), verifies roofs, repairs earthquake damage and trains local technicians. Systems provide lighting, refrigeration and hot water at household and community level; installations are targeted to the most vulnerable and scaled by donor funding and local partnerships. The cost for one installation is around 2.000 USD.
The solar panel project is a powerful answer to the energy crisis in Syria with a great long-term, sustainable and ecological value. It would grant power continuative supply and hot water to families, that would not depend on the political instability. Furthermore it would help in reducing pollution produced by power generators. Through this campaign provided solar panels to hundreds of families.
