Ukraine: help vulnerable children affected by war

Greetings from Bright Kids Charity, Ukraine. 

We are pleased to present you with our latest report, detailing the significant impact of your generous contributions on the lives of children affected by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Thanks to your support, we have been able to provide essential assistance to vulnerable children and their families. This time, 50 families from Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region - one of the most affected areas in Ukraine - could receive essential assistance worth USD 1367.

Among those who received support were large families, internally displaced persons, and low-income individuals. We carefully curated packages containing essential daily items such as cereals, hygiene products, laundry detergent, and toothpaste. We even included a little bit of comfort—condensed milk for the children and tea with forest berries. The children were sincerely happy with the sweets. One touching story comes from two brothers, Artem and Kirill, who live with their baby sibling. When they received our recent shipment of supplies, including condensed milk, their joy was palpable. Artem exclaimed, “Wow, we’re finally going to eat something sweet!” This family faces significant hardships, and your contributions have made a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Your support brings smiles and a sense of normalcy to children amidst the turmoil around them. 

It’s a feeling of care that reassures them they are not alone. Thank you to everyone who has been involved! Your kindness goes beyond mere assistance; it’s a sign of compassion that warms hearts. Your ongoing support truly matters and helps us to continue our mission.

We hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out from Bright Kids Charity in Ukraine, where your generous support has made a meaningful difference in the lives of families who are struggling. We are happy to report that your contribution enabled us to provide baby formula and food worth USD 1312, and today, we would like to share with you the heartfelt words of one mother, Marina:

“We are in urgent need of baby formula and diapers, as our family cannot afford these essential items for our child at the moment. We were forced to leave our homes and jobs due to the occupation in our land, which led us to lose everything. We kindly ask for your support during this difficult time. We believe in our victory and have faith that our lives will improve for each of us.” 

It has been three years since the war began, and many families are exhausted from the devastating circumstances: prolonged lack of necessities, unemployment, and the absence of safe housing. Each day, we receive numerous requests for assistance. Your contributions provide vital essentials, including food and hygiene products, to families in need with small children - those forcibly displaced, single mothers and those who lost their family members. We cannot express how grateful we are for your compassion and support during these tough times.
