Your Impact on Children's Lives in Ukraine

By Natalie Blinder | Founder

Dear Donors,

Greetings from Bright Kids Charity, Ukraine.

We wanted to take a moment to share an update on the journeys of our beneficiaries - children with disabilities who are striving to improve their health in very tough circumstances in Ukraine. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide treatments for six children at a total cost of USD 5127.35.

Among these children are siblings Vladislav and Ania, who both have Canavan disease, a rare genetic form of leukodystrophy. They require regular treatments to manage their symptoms and slow the progression of the disease. Without this essential support, their muscles can tighten, which may lead to joint dislocations and further complications. After years of seeking various treatment methods, their parents have found some comfort in the fact that regular rehabilitation treatments have helped stabilise the children's conditions.

Here’s what Vladislav and Ania’s parents shared with us: “Over the years, the children have gone through many intensive care units with lung ventilation—they lived in hospitals for half a year. Doctors always prepared us for the worst, but we believed that our children were strong, and together we would overcome everything. Our children need rehabilitation like air.”

Your generous contributions have played an essential role in providing the necessary rehabilitation that our children so desperately need. We cannot emphasise enough how vital this ongoing support is—rehabilitation is truly a lifeline for Vladislav and Ania. Thank you for standing by them and making a difference in their lives.

We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of the children we support, thanks to your help. Together, we can hold onto hope and strive for brighter days ahead.

Warm regards,

Natalie Blinder
