As September begins, we see the genuine impact of your generosity. This is Golden September — Childhood Cancer Awareness Month — time to shine a spotlight on the brave children who need us most.
Childhood cancer is unpredictable
It cannot be prevented or caused by lifestyle choices or inheritance. In most cases, there's no clear explanation for why it occurs. It affects children globally — both in prosperous and developing nations — impacting about 0.015% of all children.
However, geography significantly influences survival rates. In high-income countries, more than 80% of children recover. In Ukraine, the number is lower. That’s why your support matters so much.
Families ask for help every single day
This year alone, Tabletochki has supported 990 families, and each month brings more requests.
In July 431 families were under our care — compared to 415 families last July. The requests are also changing. Families navigating long cancer journeys now find even modest expenses — like vitamins or standard medications — increasingly difficult to manage given current economic realities. Your support helps provide these real, practical needs.
