On August 11, 2025, heavy rains caused devastating floods in Mindelo, Cabo Verde, leaving families homeless and in urgent need. Coopera ONGD will send containers with food, clean water, hygiene kits, and basic reconstruction materials to affected communities.
The August 2025 floods in Mindelo destroyed homes, contaminated water sources, and disrupted food supplies. Families are sleeping in unsafe conditions, children lack access to clean water, and communities have lost basic infrastructure. Without immediate aid, health risks and hardship will grow.
Coopera ONGD will use donations to purchase, load, and ship containers of essential aid to Cabo Verde. Local partners will ensure safe and fair distribution to the most affected families. We will also provide basic materials to start rebuilding homes and livelihoods. The army will help the organization distribute the materials.
Beyond immediate relief, this project will help families restore a sense of security and stability. By addressing urgent needs now, we will reduce health risks and prevent further suffering, while supporting the community's path toward recovery and resilience.
