1300 rice meals - warmth of life in the heart of hunger

By Hasan Sadik | Project leader

Dear Donor

In Beit Lahia camp, in the north of the Gaza Strip, where suffering deepens day by day and where siege and bombardment have deprived thousands of families of the most basic necessities of life, a simple hot rice meal has become a lifeline — a source of hope and sustenance for those struggling to survive.

Amid these harsh conditions, our team successfully distributed 1,300 hot meals of rice to displaced and affected families in the camp. The meal was not diverse, nor rich in ingredients — it was all that was available. Yet, for mothers spending sleepless nights worrying about how to feed their children, and for little ones who hadn’t tasted a hot meal in days, it meant everything.

Rice has become the only available food for many families sheltering in tents. Still, the response was filled with deep gratitude. Children devoured it hungrily, and mothers’ eyes filled with tears and whispered prayers — moments that revealed both the depth of the suffering and the profound impact of even the simplest act of generosity.

We are facing an escalating humanitarian catastrophe, where food variety has vanished, and meals have been reduced to the bare minimum. Yet your continued support can protect countless lives from hunger and despair.

1,300 hot rice meals delivered a message of love and resilience. But the road ahead remains long.
Thanks to your generosity, many families didn’t sleep hungry that night.
Let us continue together — because Gaza deserves life.

With many thanks
