A lot of changes at our transit home in Dhading! We have moved to a new building and just finished all the unpacking and decorating, so everyone is finally settled. We are still located very central but up the hill so getting to the home by any means of transport (apart from on foot) is a bit tricky in the rainy season - but we're coping.
We have visited some of our children that got linked to one of the best children's homes in Kathmandu and are very pleased to say that they are all very happy and healthy.
We have now started our family support part of the project and are helping the families of the children that have stayed at our emergency shelter. Some families are receiving sewing machines so that they can earn money by tailoring, and most families are receiving animals - mainly goats. Apart from that we are supporting all the children with education and families with training so that they can all become self sustainable in the future.
And on a very happy note, our home manager, Nirmala, is getting married this week and Our Sansar staff and children will be attending the wedding - so a lot to celebrate!
We are so grateful to all of you for the support - it really means a lot to us, to the children and their families. Thank you.
