Through our different programs, we have reached a total of 284 at-risk students including 52 in our main Danzarea program and 232 with our community outreach program, Pasadizo.
Since the start of the year, our beneficiaries have received a total of 261 hours of aerial and contemporary dance training, 92.5 hours of academic support, 18 group sessions of psychosocial orientation activities, and 25 individual psychosocial support sessions.
At the moment, we are preparing for our end-of-the-year show titled ESPANTAMIEDO, based on a poem titled, El Espantamiedo by the Chilean poet María José Ferrada. The poem talks about how to overcome our fears through a whimsical ritual with the stars.
For the second half of the year, our team is hard at work with the planning and implementation of an integral healthcare plan for our young beneficiaries, which will include dental hygiene, nutritional counseling, and pediatric attention. In addition, our entire staff/faculty will receive a course in first aid response, including CPR, by certified instructors.
