WAR IN UKRAINE: help children with cancer

We all need warmth during cold winter days. However, the deepest warmth comes from within — from knowing we've done something truly meaningful. Despite all the difficulties, 2024 was filled with remarkable achievements, thanks to you. Behind every story lies your support and belief in children's victories over cancer.

Last year, 1,300 families in our care program received critical help —everything from everyday essentials like firewood and food to rare medicines worth $170,000.

This level of comprehensive care wouldn't be possible without your support. Thank you for all you do — every child's life is priceless.

Following the massive Russian strike in early January, many Ukrainian homes were left without heat, water, or electricity. Blackouts have lasted more than a day. For families with children suffering from serious illnesses or their complications, this is life-threatening. Thanks to your help, they received everything needed for uninterrupted care: charging stations, generators, power banks, battery-powered lamps, warm blankets, and thermoses.

Eight-year-old Polina, who has brain cancer, received a generator through your support. Polina breathes with the help of an oxygen concentrator — during previous blackouts, her condition deteriorated rapidly. Now, she has the power she needs to survive.

With your support, children can remain children, filled with play and joy. Every week, we host creative workshops and birthday parties at the hospital. Recently, we've also introduced dog therapy sessions, as interacting with animals brings joy and helps children cope with stress.
