Dear Friend,
As winter settles over Ukraine and Russian attacks continue to devastate our energy infrastructure, I'm reaching out one more time about our Warming Basket of Care project.
The blackouts are real and relentless. Families are facing long hours without electricity, heat, or light. The displaced people we work with are asking for the same things they needed last winter: warm blankets, thermoses for hot drinks, and power banks to keep their phones charged so they can reach loved ones and access emergency information.
I won't pretend we've had momentum with this project lately. We haven't received donations in quite some time, and honestly, we've struggled to keep it visible. But the need hasn't disappeared—it's only grown more urgent as temperatures drop and infrastructure crumbles under continued attacks.
While this specific project has been quiet, our work hasn't stopped. Through our other GlobalGiving initiative, we're actively helping IDPs across Ukraine with essential support. Our team is on the ground, our supplier relationships are solid, and we know exactly what displaced families need most right now.
I'm asking you to consider giving this project one more chance. Winter doesn't wait, and neither does the war. If we can raise even modest funding, we're ready to move immediately—assembling and distributing warming baskets to families who are bracing for another brutal season without reliable power or heat.
Every small donation brings warmth, light, and connection to someone who's lost so much. The families we serve remember your past generosity, and they're still hoping for help.
If you can support us this winter, we'll make every contribution count. And if you can share this project with others who might care, that would mean the world too.
Thank you for not giving up on Ukraine's displaced families.
With hope and gratitude,
Yanina Lomaka and the Life Quality Team
