Need Diapers & Milk powder for 14 babies in India

Dear Supporter of the Hope House,

It is with great joy I write this letter to give you a little update about our work. But, before I do that, let me wish you a very happy new year. May this year bring all the goodies that you had been hoping for.

Since I wrote to you last, we were able to place two children in loving homes through inter-country adoption and two have completed the processes and awaiting to go to their forever homes through inter-country adoption. All four children found homes in the United States of America.

We have been getting updates from those two families which have taken their children home and it is absolutely heart warming to see our children getting adjusted into their families so well. One little boy of 2 years of age who had been placed in a home was shocked to see snow for the time in life. His expressions on the photos were priceless. We couldn't have asked for anything better these updates.

During the month of November, we were stretched too think because three children were admitted as in-patients at the same time with different kinds of illnesses. Hospital requires each child to have at least two care takers and we didn't have enough caretakers to look after all the children (those that are in the hospital and those that are in the adoption agency). By God's grace, all the staff chipped in more than they are required to and we crossed this challenge with a big smile on our faces.

In the month of December, we also witnessed a death of a child due to medical complications. As much as we pretend to be prepared for such eventualities, when it does hit us, we are never prepared and it takes a huge toll on all the staff who care of that particular child.

Month of December passed off with a lot of joy and happiness because quite a number of people had visited and supported us with their love and generosity.

Its people like you who make this work click every day because almost all of our support comes from individual donors like you. But our individual donors have provided with such generosity that there was not single day we had experienced where we didn't have resources to look after these children nor paid the salaries on time. God has been so gracious and kind that He has been providing for us just adequately enought to meet our needs on time. We say thank you to you for trusting us in doing this work. Its our sincere hope that you will continue with your support to care for these vulnerable babies.

Four children are awaiting to go to their homes.

Dear Friend,

Good Morning and greetings to you from the Hope House. It always gives me immense pleasure to write this updates to let you know how our babies in the adoption agency are doing.

I have a very special story to tell you: A 12 old baby girl was surrendered to us by her family with a very serious medical problem. On the 13th day, our staff found her to be cyanotic (looked blueish for lack of oxygen). We immediately rushed her to the hospital and they put her on life support. Two weekds into her admission, doctor asked me to visit the hospital immediately and I knew that this child may not be doing well. When I reached the hospital, the consultatant took time to explain all that was happening and how she is not responding to any of the treatments. Hospital wanted us to sign the papers and with a heavy heart we did and told all the staff members to be mentally prepared for any eventuality.

30 days after her admission, I got a call from the same doctor saying that has recovered and she can be taken home. I couldn't believe my ears and I kept asking the doctor about how it happened. She also couldn't explain but attributed it to the Almighty. Our joy knew no bounds and brought her home.

Today, she is 2 years old and thriving. She is alive because so many of you choose to stand with and for these children with your generosity. All the children in our adoption agency are children with special needs and they are 14 in number. Our challenges are much greater but you make them easier on us on a daily basis.

Currently, four children are matched with the families in the US and they all are expected to leave by end of October, 2025. This is absolutely amzing and thrilled to know that more and more children are going to be growing up in homes.

Primarily these babies have five different needs namely Salaries, Milk Powder, Diapers, Medicines and Transportation. In the month of April, India's largest philanthropic organization came forward to fund the salary expenses of all the staff in the adoption agency. We praise God for His mericies for providing. We hope and pray that you'll continue to be a partner of this work to help more children to live in homes through adoption.

Now, six children are living in loving homes

Dear Friend,

Good afternoon and greetings to you from the Hope House. It is time to update you our work that you have been supporting so faithfully. Since our last update, two more chidlren have been placed in adoption taking the toltal to 6 children (three in the US, one in Italy and two in India). Two more chidlren have been matched with loving families to be placed in the US and we are waiting for the paper work to be completed to make travel plans.

I want to share an exciting news with you. For the last six months, India's largest philanthropic organization - Azim Premji Foundation has been doing a deligence on us to see if we fit their profile for extending support and I am happy to inform you that they have agreed to fund 20 employees salaries out of the 25 for the next three years. This is a huge relief because in the last 19+ years, we never had anyone as generous as this to extend salary expense support.

Since they are extending salary support, we'll still need support for milk powder, diapers, travel and medical expenses and I am praying and hoping that you'll continue to support us. Currently, in the adoption agency alone we have 17 staff and at times when children get admitted in the hospital, we find it dififcult to schedule the staff as the hospital is away by 15 KM from the Hope House. Currently we have 14 children which is our maximum capacity.
