Dear friends and supporters,
"I feel deeply inspired—my heart beats in the warmth of a beautiful fire that spreads through my whole being.
This feeling comes from working on projects with truly amazing women.
Today, I had a meeting with our volunteers in Myanmar.
They have worked tirelessly to accomplish two beautiful projects.
These women give selflessly, supporting others who are in even greater need, while they themselves live under challenging circumstances. And yet—they rise. They take their space, embrace their responsibilities, and express gratitude for the opportunity to lead these projects.
What more could I ask for to feel fulfilled, grateful, and inspired?
The best part is that we are doing this together.
They ensure the projects are carried out with professionalism, I support them through coaching and fundraising, and you—our dear friends around the world—make it possible by providing the funds.
This shared effort fills me with even more inspiration.
It is a collective stream that brings change into the world and love into many hearts.
I wrote this post about two weeks ago, it was a reflection of the work we have been able to do through our Women for Freedom Campaign. I keep feeling grateful for all the support that you have been giving, without you, this would not have been possible. Next week we have our evaluation and we will discuss our follow up strategy. Our wish is to continue our work in the future, doing what is needed most for the women on the ground.
Something else worth sharing is about Bee, who has been studying hard and is in her final year of her BA degree of Biomedical Science, she is doing well and she is getting straight A's for most of her subjects. When we talked last week, she told me that after her BA, she will work for one or two years and then she will apply for her MA degree. She made this decision based on coaching sessions with me and with an amazing volunteer of We women. As Bee still has her dream to become a doctor, I really hope that a path will come, so she can achieve just that. It might not even be an option with all the political turmoil in the world, it is very hard to get scholarships and very hard to get visa's, so we keep working with Bee in the coming years to help her forward in a way that will support her in the best possible way.
I will keep you informed on her final results this year in our next reports.
I want to thank you once more, for being part of We women and know that together, we realize social transformation!
Many hugs Ursula
