Education, Equality, and Empowerment in Action!
Over the past months, CORDEM has continued to strengthen its mission of empowering women through education, emotional support, and community building. Each activity reflects our belief that education is a transformative force—one that nurtures not only academic and professional growth, but also emotional resilience, leadership, and social responsibility.
AUGUST | New Beginnings and Purposeful Connections
Fair of Best Practices for Civil Society Organizations
We proudly participated in the Fair of Best Practices for Civil Society Organizations in Nuevo León, where we shared our work and exchanged ideas with other local organizations committed to creating positive change. It was an inspiring day of learning, dialogue, and collective commitment to strengthening civil society.
Closing Event with Soriana Fundation
In Saltillo, Coahuila, CORDEM joined our long-standing ally Soriana for the closing of their customer donation campaign. We presented recognitions to Soriana’s employees who championed the initiative, helping transform customer contributions into meaningful donations that support women’s education. Their dedication highlights how collaboration between companies and nonprofits multiplies impact and hope.
Semester Opening Event
We began a new academic semester with joy and excitement, welcoming both new and returning scholarship recipients. The event included group activities led by CORDEM’s therapy team and a motivational message from our Executive Director, fostering connection and community among participants. Each new generation of women joins CORDEM with the desire to study, grow, and transform their own lives and those around them.
SEPTEMBER | Awareness, Learning, and Empowerment
Workshop: Gender-Based Violence Against Women
As part of our commitment to integral education, the CORDEM team facilitated this workshop to strengthen the learning and personal development of our scholarship recipients, while also enhancing the team’s ability to accompany them in therapeutic sessions with greater understanding and sensitivity.
The workshop’s objective was to help participants understand what gender-based violence is, its forms, types, and modalities, how to identify it, and what actions can be taken to promote safe and respectful environments for women. Through dialogue and reflection, the group explored how awareness, empathy, and collective responsibility can help prevent and address violence in daily life.
Social Investment 2025 Event – Fundación RIISA
We attended Fundación RIISA’s Social Investment 2025 event, where CORDEM received recognition for the support provided this year to strengthen women’s education. We are deeply grateful for this trust, which reaffirms our shared mission of promoting equality and opportunities for women in Nuevo León.
OCTOBER | Building Networks for Sustainable Change
October 1–2 — 2nd Congress on Social Sustainability
Members of CORDEM’s team participated in the 2nd Congress on Social Sustainability, a space that brought together civil society, the private sector, and government to foster collaboration and exchange ideas. These alliances are key to creating long-lasting social impact and promoting a more equitable future.
Workshop: Balance from Within – Mental Health and Emotional Well-being for Women
To close this period, CORDEM held a workshop focused on women’s mental health and emotional well-being. Participants explored common challenges that affect women’s health, learned practical tools for emotional self-care, and discussed how mental well-being is essential to empowerment and community growth.
Every activity reminds us that transformation begins with opportunity and accompaniment.
At CORDEM, we remain committed to providing women with the tools, confidence, and support they need to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
Thank you for walking alongside us and being part of this ongoing change—together, we are shaping a world of equality and hope.
