Its always a joy sharing our progress with you. As we walk into our major political elections and enganging in the numerous political campagns and rallies as Country Uganda, Thread Life is focused on the well being of thw people in the xommunities that we serve. As we anticipate and fight for the of power in Uganda we believe that can only be done if we empower from the bottom up. Next year Uganda will be votimg for Presidents and Members of Parliament in January 2026. Due to the political reasons many there has been alot of price flactuations in the markets hence making it difficult for the people leaving in abject poverty to survive.
As we vision and goals stand we were able to see 5 girls and two boys enroll through school this year from the goats project. Jane says, " Before joining Thread of Life and being part of this project, I envisioned my children's life to be like mine but when the going got tough for me this year, when my child was about to drop of the school, Thread of life leadership was able to walk with me by selling one of the goats out of the 4 that I have from the project and my child was able to continue with school, I believe my child will get the good education and also make proud when he graduates.".
Nalogo also says, " Before life was extremely hard when my husband abandoned me with my five children. I had scratched education for my children off the list because there was no way to keep them in school. With the goats peoject and being one of the first people who recieved goats in 2022, I have been able to see my little children through school. In August 2025, my Ex husband threatened to chase me out of their family and in September he did as he had promised, i was scared for my children but I was able to have a conversation with Thread of Liife leadership and they came in through for me by selling two male goats out of my 8 goats form the project so that I can find a place for me to stay and my five children. I have hope that some day my children and I will have a better comfortable life.
As a team we still looking for ways on how we can empower more households in Kagumba village to break the cycle of poverty and also boost education among the children.
