Save the children from the mines in the DRC

1. Humanitarian Context

Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is severely affected by ongoing armed conflicts. This instability has triggered a deep humanitarian crisis, particularly for children. Around 45% of child deaths in the region are linked to malnutrition. Displaced families or those living in high-risk zones often have no access to sufficient or nutritious food.

2. Project Objective

This project aims to provide emergency food assistance to 500 vulnerable children in eastern DRC. The goal is to ensure their immediate survival while improving their health, well-being, and long-term prospects.

• Distribution of hot meals through mobile kitchens in remote areas.
• School canteens to provide daily meals to enrolled children.
• Nutritional supplementation (vitamins, minerals) to prevent acute malnutrition.
• Nutrition education for families to promote healthy eating habits.
