Thank you to everyone that donated to HOPE's Cervical Cancer Project in Rural Bangladesh. As a result of your efforts, we have been able to conduct outreach in the community and form partnerships to provide cervical screenings! This is very exciting for us because improving maternal health to reduce maternal mortality is our passion.
As such, after doing thorough research and evaluating our program, we have decided to end the Cervical Cancer Project and combine its efforts with two other projects we have: 1) Provide SAFE Delivery for Rural Mothers and 2) Support HOPE's Mothers' Clubs in Bangladesh. By combining our efforts, HOPE can continue to serve and provide support for those with cervical cancer AND reach even more mothers' in need of critical care and life saving surgeries. Supporting HOPE's Mothers' Clubs contribute to these efforts because of their outreach campaigns in communities around Cox's Bazar (the site in which our hospital is located). These mothers are in the field encouraging fellow women in their communities to seek medical services to ensure safe deliveries and are providing health education on proper antenatal care, breastfeeding, and other health issues that affect them and their families.
You can see these projects on GlobalGiving and keep up with us on our website, Facebook, and Twitter. We are constantly monitoring our programs so we can improve and change for the better. We hope that you will continue to support us as we strive to provide vulnerable women and children in rural Bangladesh with quality healthcare and services so that they can lead productive and meaningful lives free of illness and disease.
