Project Report | Feb 26, 2024
The future includes education

Providing a Positive Future in Africa

Dear Friends of Action Change,

I hope this report finds you well. Our project is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those who are often overlooked. Your support in the past has allowed us to sponsor around 50-70 children each year to attend school and these children are from a rural community around the world that falls through the cracks.

Each day, we see innocent children become a victim and fall through the cracks of society due to circumstances beyond their control. These children, often forgotten and left alone, are denied the basic necessities of life like food, shelter, and education.

One such child we can't name for protection reasons, so we will call him 'Happy'.

His story is heartbreaking. His parents, victims of drug addiction, often forget to feed him and provide no help for him to attend school. He spends his days alone, trying to fend for himself. Education, a fundamental right for every child, seems like a distant dream for our friend 'Happy'. And yet, his spirit remains undeterred. He dreams of going to school, of learning about the world around him, and of one day escaping the dire circumstances in which he finds himself.

We believe that every child deserves a chance at a better life, an opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. And we work tirelessly to turn this belief into reality and with your dedication over the past 8 years we have given so many children an expectional chance to change their future, this story is about a child in Costa Rica but we have hundreds more like this across Africa and Asia, evey penny makes a difference to children around the world.

With your donations and support at the start of 2024 we have managed to enrol 'Happy' in our local school and provide him with daily meals. The smile on his face when he received his first set of school books was priceless. However, there are countless others like Happy who still need our help and we want to do more this year if we can.  A Scholarship in South Africa can start from as litle as $50 for primary school and $300 for secondary school per month.

Thank you for your hard work and support!

Tyrone
