Dear friend,
Let us share with you our hope for this new year, 2026. Despite the uncertainty that seems to hold Bolivia and the world right now, a few cornerstones stand still: one of those is that every single act of generosity counts and can change a life.
In Bolivia, the current economic crisis has led to deep cuts in support services for people with disabilities. Something that should be a right, like receiving a mobility aid, still represents a massive challenge.
Last September, a volunteer social worker from the farming village of Vallegrande reached out to us about Duverly, a young man with multiple disabilities. He desperately needed a wheelchair to move within his home and to ease the physical burden on his mother, his primary caregiver.
At the same time, we met Eddy, a young boy living in a state-run shelter in Cochabamba. His old wheelchair was completely worn out and broken from years of use.
This is where you come in. Your support gives Tukuy Pacha the flexibility to say "Yes" when these urgent requests arrive. Because of you, we were able to promptly deliver new wheelchairs to our young friends. Together, we have taken a significant step in promoting human rights and a better quality of life.
The journey continues, and we won’t give up. For example, we’d like to be able to provide more support to Eddy and his companions at the shelter house. Please consider a donation today to help us keep building a more inclusive society.
With a warm hug from Cochabamba,
