Barefoot, Khalil Carries Hope in a Loaf of Bread

By MUHAMMED DEEBEH | Project leader

Dear Donor,

In the Maram camp in northern Syria, where children and families face dire humanitarian conditions, 3-and-a-half-year-old Khalil was found standing barefoot in front of his family’s tent. Amidst the dust and heat, Khalil seemed to be waiting for something that would ease the burden of their daily struggles.

Khalil’s family, consisting of six members, lives in a modest tent. His father struggles every day to provide for their basic needs. Despite his constant efforts, securing enough food remains a major challenge, especially with rising prices and the limited job opportunities within the camp.

Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide bread for Khalil’s family, bringing joy and comfort to their hearts. We saw Khalil carrying the bread to his mother with a priceless smile, as though it were a precious gift on their difficult day.

Thank you for your continued support. Your contributions directly help alleviate the suffering of these children and their families. Many families, like Khalil’s, are still waiting for your helping hand.

Together, we feed the hungry and bring hope to their hearts.
