According to our questionnaire that we had made three months ago, we decided to take another step and make a speech program. The speech therapist made an evaluation to the existed cases from both camps (Aida and Al Azza camp.

Then we make a meeting with their families by giving them appointments and individual evaluation for their children. The therapist starts to make individual sessions three times per week. She determines the medical plans and period of time for every child according to his-her case. Also, the therapist continued her speech therapy program with the children and their peers in order to merge them in the around community and to make them feel better in daily life. Finally, Noor Society is thanking your generosity for your big contribution and support for the speech therapy program.

The following table is to show children numbers, their ages and the case description:

Musa'b :

7 years old
Male
The evolutionary history of this child was within the normal range in contranst with the children his age. He uses long sentences to explain his needs with difficulty in pronouncing some sounds.

Abd :

3 years old

He can't speak.

He just points to the things that he needs.
Natali :

Phonological process

The history development is within the normal range in contrast with the other children. However, she has delay in the way of explaining because she use one word to explain her needs.
Ibrahim :

2years and six months

He suffer from language delay in contrast with the children his age. He uses the pointing to explain his needs.

He do one order with hyper active with lack of attention and concentration.
Jana:

5 years

Misarticulating problems

The history development of this child is within the normal range.

He uses sentences contains two or three words to express his needs. The sentences have a lot of pronunciation mistakes.

Also, he has difficulty in pronouncing the words that contains more than three morphemes.
Retal :

Speech and language delay she has a delay in her history development in absorption , executing the orders, and answering the speech with concentration and attention

The development history for this child is within the normal range.

Finally, Noor give all of her efforts in order to share awareness for the kids, peers, and their parents in the kindergarten. The speech therapist went to the kindergarten

to make free speech examination. Then, she sent the description for their cases to their parents. After making the proper examination, the special needs, peers, and parents were taking meeting and sharing awareness conferences. The whole number of beneficiaries were 18 persons.

Less is More.. learning difficulties

The Autism and Learning Disabilities Program is one of the most successful and sought-after programs nowadays, unfortunately, to increase the Palestinian community’s need for help and the pressures of daily life that affect not only an individual but the whole family. Here comes our intervention to help as much as possible to spread the light as we are a Noor Association And we will show you some of the cases and the progress we are making, God willing, and with your continuous support.

Mohammed : Suffers from delayed mental development and hyperactivity and he has a number of unwanted behaviors and has problems concentrating and delayed pronunciation.

Monthly goals: Reducing unwanted movement. Modify unwanted behaviors through a plan to modify behavior. Developing mental abilities and absorption. - Development of the asymptive and expressive language.

Changes to the child: Unwanted movement was controlled and the child sat in the chair for a long time. Some unwanted behaviors such as beating have been modified. Audiovisual discrimination and discrimination of things around it were worked on.

JanaSuleiman: The objectives that have been worked on: Training to raise the level of mental capacity. Increase the focus and attention period. Training in the skill of visual kinetic consistency.

Fayez Halaiqa: Strengthen long-term and short-term memory. - Follow simple orders. Developing audiolingual discrimination. Develop communication skills. - Development of expressive language

BelsanMezher: To be able to carry out most of the activities of everyday life in an independent manner. Strengthening the delicate muscles. Visual focus. Development of audiolingual discrimination. Develop communication skills.

Kaseem: Improve verbal communication and expression of needs by using special cards and focusing on sitting position while performing exercises and not using screaming, crying or biting hands to express their needs. Muscle training and strengthening.

Please note that this program has great difficulty in dealing with cases, and dealing is often done in the form of individual sessions, taking into account the presence of two specialists for the ability to control and influence cases.

NOOR CHILDREN DEVELOPMENTS April-July 2021

1. Jinan : The girl suffers from short tendons and muscles of the lower extremities as a result of premature birth in the sixth month. She is a beneficiary of the physiotherapy program. She takes two physiotherapy sessions per week.
Session Objectives:
Strengthening the muscles and strengthening the lower extremities. Practice walking, standing and improving balance
Long term treatment:-
The ability to stand and balance.
Changes that occurred within three months:
Increased muscle tone in the lower extremities
Improvement in muscle length and movement
Improvement in standing posture
Treatment methods used:
Stretching exercises
strengthening exercises
Stand exercises

2. The child Qusay, who suffers from quadriplegic cerebral palsy, is benefiting from the physiotherapy program and learning difficulties. He takes two physiotherapy sessions per week.
Session Objectives:-
It includes stretching muscles, relieving pain, strengthening muscles, increasing joint sensation, improving balance, adjusting posture, improving fine muscle work (hands) and training in chair-to-bed/chair-to-chair movement.
Long-term goals of treatment:
The ability to stand and balance.

Changes that occurred within three months: -

Improved balance when making a transitional movement.
Muscle strength and mobility of the joints and lower extremities (knee, hip joint) improved.
Standing from a sitting position using the stand.
Improved use of the bathroom and the transition from chair to chair.
Treatment methods used:-
Stretching exercises.
strengthening exercises.
Mobility exercises.
Balance exercises.
Cognitive and mental exercises.
Fine muscle exercises.
Breathing exercises.

3. Mahmoud suffers from severe respiratory problems as a result of cerebral palsy, beneficiary of the physiotherapy program for one session per week
Session Objectives:
muscle strengthening
Improve breathing
Elimination of secretions accumulated in the lungs
Work on improving and strengthening fine muscles
Long-term goals of treatment:
Eliminate the accumulation of secretions and improve breathing
Changes that occurred within three months:
Slight changes and improvement
Methods used in treatment:
Exercises to get rid of secretions in the lungs
Breathing muscle strengthening exercises
fine muscle exercises

4. The child Ismail who suffers from quadrilateral equilibrium cerebral palsy. He suffers from balance and movement problems as he uses a large balance base and takes two physiotherapy sessions per week.
Session Objectives:-
Muscle strengthening.
Improving balance (standing on one foot) and visual and motor coordination.
Long-term treatment goals:
Get a balanced walk with a small footing.
Changes that occurred during the three months: -
Improved balance when walking and reduced rapid random movements.
And improve muscle strength of the lower and upper extremities.
Treatment methods used:-
Walking exercises in rings, lines and narrow lanes.
Balance exercises on the round plate for balance.
Strengthening exercises using the stairs.

5-Adham suffers from quadriplegic cerebral palsy in the lower extremities more than the upper extremities. Take two sessions per week

Session Objectives:-
Stretching muscles include lower and upper limbs, strengthening muscles, improving balance and gait pattern, strengthening fine muscles (hands) and balancing exercises.
Long-term goals of treatment:
Correct gait pattern and balance during walking.
Treatment methods used:-
Balance, strengthening and breathing exercises.
Precise muscle exercises.

6. Fatima suffers from increased tone and muscle weakness in the right extremities, benefiting from the physiotherapy program, with two sessions per week.
Session Objectives:-
Improving balance while sitting
Strengthening the back muscles
Strengthening the fine muscles of the hands

Long-term goals of treatment:
stand up
Changes that occurred during the three months: -
Better balance and strong back muscles
Treatment methods used:-
Sitting balance exercises
Muscle strengthening exercises.

7. The child Yazan suffers from hydrocephalus as a result of premature birth, benefiting from the physiotherapy program at two sessions per week.
Session Objectives:-
Strengthening the neck muscles.
Strengthening the trunk muscles.
Improving balance while sitting.
Long-term goals of treatment:
Sitting and crawling.
Treatment methods used:-
Muscle stretching and strengthening exercises (neck muscles to control head movement, trunk muscles to improve sitting).
Compression and pulling exercises for joints to strengthen muscles and sensation.

8. The girl Fatima suffers from quadriplegic cerebral palsy, who is benefiting from the physiotherapy program and takes two physiotherapy sessions per week.
Session Objectives:-
Strengthen muscles, relieve pain, increase joint sensation, and strengthen fine muscles.
Long-term goals of treatment:
Lift the head and sit down.
Changes that occurred during the three months: -
Significantly improved head elevation and onset of sitting.
Treatment methods used:-
Medical ball exercises.
Lower muscle strengthening exercises.
Neck muscle strengthening exercises.

9. The child Judy, the child suffering from Down syndrome, has a slight delay in motor development, benefiting from the physiotherapy program at two sessions per week
Session Objectives:-
It includes strengthening the muscles of the lower extremities
improve balance
Long-term goals of treatment:
stand up
Changes that occurred during the three months: -
Walking many steps on the walker and improving balance
Treatment methods used:
Walking on the bar and the walker
balance exercises
