A Community Health Center Building in El Rodeito

Overview
The El Rodeito project is making meaningful progress toward establishing a fully operational community health center in rural Honduras. With the dedication of our volunteers, local partners, and the generosity of our donors, we’re moving steadily toward our shared goal of expanding access to free, quality healthcare for families in need.

Project Progress
The future clinic will provide Primary Care, Maternal and Child Health Services, and Dental Care at no cost to the community. Construction, led by our local partner Mayor Potencial, is well underway. Work is currently focused on connecting the main electricity line from town. The building’s superstructure is on track for completion by early fall, with window and door installation to follow. Plumbing and wastewater planning is in the early stages, with implementation expected later this year.

Our next medical brigade is scheduled for October 2025, where we’ll host satellite clinics in El Rodeito and check in on construction progress.

Looking Ahead
Once completed, the health center will offer reliable, year-round care to hundreds of people in El Rodeito and surrounding areas. It will also provide a foundation for expanding health initiatives and community programs. Ongoing support is critical to keeping construction on track and equipping our medical brigades for success.

Overview
The El Rodeito project continues to make significant strides toward establishing a fully operational community health center in rural Honduras. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, local workers, and the generous support from our donors, we have made remarkable progress. A recent grant has provided a much-needed boost, bringing us closer to our fundraising goal and enabling us to push forward with construction.

Project Progress
Our goal remains to complete the infrastructure necessary to provide Primary Care, Maternal and Child Services, and Dental Care—free of charge to the local community. Construction efforts led by Mayor Potencial continue, and each step forward brings us closer to a fully functioning clinic.

Upcoming Trip: Los Encinitos (April 7–14)
Our next trip to Los Encinitos is scheduled for April 7–14. During this time, we will be hosting satellite clinics in El Rodeito and checking in on the progress of the health center.

Looking Ahead
Once completed, the health center will provide hundred of people in and around El Rodeito with reliable medical and dental services. In addition to primary care, the facility will allow for expanded services and future healthcare initiatives and community programs. Continued funding and support are necessary to ensure construction stays on track and that medical brigades have the resources needed to operate effectively.
