Getting ready to start soon!

By Julia Krepska | Director

Photos time!
Photos time!

We are very excited as we will be able to start the new home for street children soon. The plan is to launch the project in July/August providing there no typical delays as it always happens in Nepal!

Our staff are in touch with the local authorities and are going to Butwal in June to select the appropriate building. We are looking at a few different areas - a bit outside of the city to ensure that the children are not faced with too many 'street temptations' but not too far so that we can have easy access to amenities and also to the children. Most children tend to be in the centre of the city, near bus stops and markets.

Our home manager from Birgunj will be actively involved in the starting phases of the project and he will train our future staff. We will be trying tp replicate the Birgunj project as it has been really successful - all the children are happy, healthy and receiving good education. Apart from that, they are receiving extra - curricular classes and skills training so that will be well equipped for the future.

Butwal in between the plains and the mountains so, similarly to Birgunj, we should be able to grow many organic vegetables. We cannot wait to start everything properly and we will be updating you on all the progress.

Thank you so much for your support so far. Please send the details of the project to anyone who you think might be interested in getting involved/supporting. And we and our children always welcome you to come and see the project in person in Nepal.
