Women receiving goats for rearing
Dear Friend,
Thank you for your support to this project. Your donations have helped to ensure that we continue to serve the women and girls who are the beneficiaries of this project. Three weeks ago, the Centre for Sustainable Development and Education in Africa (CSDEA) empowered additional five women with goats for them to rear in the CSDEA farm and support their livelihoods.
The Empower Victims of Boko Haram Violence initiative has so far directly touched the lives of over 215 participants but the goal of this project is to reach 1000 girls and women who are survivors of sexual violence and have lost their livelihoods as a result of terrorist activities in the North East of Nigeria, in its first phase. It is in the pursuit of this target and to respond to the needs of project participants in a sustainable manner in 2026 that the CSDEA is calling for further support.
From December 17 to 20, GlobalGiving will be matching all donations up to $50 per donor at 50%. You can help by donating and can also volunteer to reach out to your friends and family to support this project. Thank you!

November 2025 Updates

Dear Friend,
Your generous donations have helped to sustain this project ensuring that the women and girls we serve continue to receive services, run their businesses, and support their families. As reported in our last updates, we have also included goat rearing at the request of some of the women. However, due to the devaluation of the currency and high rates of inflation, most of the recipients have struggled to sustain their small businesses. For example, some of the women and girls could not save to renew their shop rents. The Centre for Sustainable Development and Education in Africa (CSDEA) through your generous donations has stepped in to support with the payment of their shop rents to ease the burden of doing business for most of the project recipients.
The Empower Victims of Boko Haram Violence initiative has touched the lives of over 210 participants but the goal of this project is to reach 1000 girls and women who are survivors of sexual violence and have lost their livelihoods as a result of terrorist activities in the North East of Nigeria, in its first phase. It is in the pursuit of this target and to respond to the needs of project participants in a sustainable manner in 2026 that the CSDEA is calling for further support.
On December 2, GlobalGiving has set outside $500,000 Incentive Funds. Donations up to $2500 per unique donor per organization will be eligible to receive Incentive Funds.
You can help by donating and can also volunteer to reach out to your friends and family to support this project. Thank you!
