Making the elderly active
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our initiative providing assistance to the elderly as mitigation to the covid-19. This reporting period we have provided agricultural-based support o to the elderly with support ranging from training and education, supply of farming inputs such as seeds and organic fertilizer, linking elderly individuals and associations to government support bodies and active search for opportunities and projects. Our end goal is in providing the elderly with something to do so that they will be active and have some activities to while away their time. This is important for the elderly to prevent physical deterioration and depression. Being active is one way to combat ennui and sadness which usually visit the elderly when they have nothing to do. Your support is badly needed and hoping that you will continue to do so.

Dear Friend,
We thank you for your continuing support to our initiative providing help to the elderly who are affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Still until now when social distancing is relaxed the problem of infection is always present. We try our very best to provide assistance to the elderly and one way to do this is to provide them with small-scale livelihoods wherein they can get income. They also need to stay strong and maintaining a small livelihood is one way to do this. This reporting period we are able to help 12 elderly and their families in this manner. We provided vegetable seeds, small animals like goats and chicken for them to raise and monetary support for some. Your donation help us a lot in implementing this initiative. Thank you very much.

Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our initiative providing for the nutritional needs of the elderly during this covid 19 pandemic. The lock-downs experienced several months ago is no longer happening but the threat of the coronavirus is very real. There are also local residents who shun the vaccine and this is very problematic for the elderly. We continue our effort at education and providing support to thos who want to be vaccinated and we hope that this number will increase. The residents in upland, remote rural areas have fear of vaccines in general and they don't want to be vaccinated. The government is very much active in this effort. During this reporting period we focus our support to the provision of vegetable seeds for the elderly who would like to engage in vegetable gardening. We were able to distribute 300 seed packets to 70 elderly and we hope to continue doing so in the coming weeks. Again thank you so much for your help.
