Executive Summary
During the last three months, Sheepcare Community Centre implemented targeted interventions to improve retention, academic performance, and completion rates among vulnerable girls in primary school.
Through your support, we addressed key barriers to girls’ education including poverty, menstrual hygiene challenges, lack of school supplies, and risk of early dropout. The project continues to align with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), delivering measurable progress toward improved completion outcomes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Direct Beneficiaries:
220 girls currently supported under the program.
Retention Rate:
Retention improved from 72% to 94%], representing a 22% increase.
Attendance Rate:
Average attendance increased from 70% to 85% during the reporting period.
Transition & Completion Progress:
25 girls progressed successfully to the university level from last year's Natioanal examination and are going to pursue their dream careers.
22 girls completed primary education in November and Joined their Junior Secondary school in January..
Academic Performance:
35% improvement in average class performance among supported girls, they were able to compete favourable with their male counterparts
Increased assignment completion and classroom participation as reported by teachers.
Menstrual Health Support:
210 girls received dignity kits and menstrual hygiene support, reducing absenteeism linked to menstrual challenges by 45 %.
