Dear Donor,
At its most fundamental, nutrition means eating a consistent, well-balanced diet. It is well known that good nutrition fuels our body and also helps to avoid illnesses and diseases. Malnutrition, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), is the single most serious hazard to worldwide public health which contributes to around 45% of all child deaths. It is a serious issue in India, especially in Goa where people migrate for better work opportunities.
Our dedicated outreach team conducts operations in North and South Goa, providing support and assistance in diverse locations including slum areas, footpaths, railway stations, and bus stations. In these areas, our team actively engages with migrant labourers and individuals who are currently unemployed. As an important part of our mission, we try to feed at least 500 youngsters at each of our centres and street children. We hope to feed more individuals daily.
Shilpa (name changed) is a little girl who was noticed by our outreach team. She was struggling in the heat while waiting for someone to help her. Even though her parents work for daily pay, they can barely give one meal every day. The summer heat had taken a toll on her health, and she seemed undernourished and dehydrated. Our team approached her and gave her food and water. Since then, she has been fed one meal daily and appears happier and healthier.
Feeding the underprivileged is considered to be an act that brings us closer to God for several reasons. Therefore, to continue with our mission of providing at least one meal per day to feed those who deserve to have access to basic human needs, we seek your genuine contribution.
You can make a difference in a child’s life today, for which we will always be grateful!
Sincerely,
El Shaddai Family
