We have been getting your high valued liberal support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from our heart.
Geetha, a poor rural girl living in a remote village, where no bus service is available. Her father is a poor agricultural labor. He is not in possession of single cent of land. He normally get 100 days of work in a year, if it rains in time. few rupees he can earn by cutting firewood in waste land, that too without anyones knowledge.Most of her childwood she ate half belly. Till 5th grade, she studied in Government school, which is two kilometers away from her residence.
On completion of 5th grade, she has to enroll in middle school, which is 7 k.m away from her home. Since this middle school is a private school, school fee, uniforms, transport fees are very high.Geetha is a brilliant student and want to study further and want to became a teacher.
Because of her fathers inability to pay her education expenses, he asked her to dropout from further study.After one year of dropout, she came to know about CHHASE education program. She came with her father to CHHASE office and requested us by telling their fact story and asked us to help to study further.
We enrolled her in 6th grade and arranged school transport fee. Since then she is studying well and scoring good marks in exams.Now she is in 9th grade and want to complete her degree and want to be a teacher. She promises that from her salary, she will educate atleast two poor children like her.
