NDF Pakistan is implementing the Home Based Enterprise for Women with Disabilities project to address unemployment, poverty, and social exclusion faced by women with disabilities in Sindh. Due to mobility barriers, stigma, and limited access to formal employment, many women with disabilities are unable to earn a livelihood. Home-based enterprises provide a safe, practical, and sustainable solution that allows women to work with dignity from their own homes.
Through its Skill Development Center, NDF provides market-oriented vocational training in stitching, embroidery, handicrafts, beauty services, and small-scale food processing, along with life skills, basic financial literacy, and entrepreneurship guidance. Participants receive mentoring and follow-up support to help them establish and sustain income-generating activities.
So far, women completing the training have reported increased confidence, improved household income, and greater acceptance within their families and communities. However, the demand for these services is far greater than current resources allow.
We invite GlobalGiving donors to support this initiative. Your contribution will enable NDF Pakistan to enroll more women with disabilities, provide essential starter kits and tools, strengthen market linkages, and offer continued mentoring. With your support, women with disabilities can break cycles of dependency, become economically independent, and contribute meaningfully to their families and communities. Together, we can create lasting change and inclusive livelihoods.
