Dear Supporters,
Thank you for your continued support over the past months. Because of you, we are able keep sending books to schools, and help Indonesian children grow up loving to read in this new year.
Integrated reading
In our last update we wrote about the free ‘add-on’ we now provide with the Bookbox. Material that help children to understand what they’re reading and help teachers to provide them with different learning material. At the end of the last year a partner reached out to us, wanted to finance a program in NTT with this material.
By this support we were able to train the teachers with the material and even insure it more optiomal for implementation in their classrooms.
It is encouraging for our team to meet partners who understand the value of this kind of projects. And share a love for reading and wanting to help children understand what they’re reading. We hope to share some of the results of this project in our next update, as it is running now.
Thank you for your faithful support. With your help, this vital work is possible!

More books, more schools! Project Update (Q3 2025)

Dear Supporters,
Thank you for your ongoing support over the past months. Because of you, we can keep training teachers and sending books to schools, working together with local schools so Indonesian children can grow up loving to read.
Add-on
Since 2022 we have supported more than 60 schools (over 18,000 books!) with a Library in a Box, and this year we have taken it a step further by starting a trial with an free add-on. This helps teachers even more to integrate the library into their daily routines and support children in understanding what they are reading. We still hear so often about schools that don’t have any books besides textbooks, which highlights a continuing challenge: there are not enough leveled reading books. This is exactly why Library in a Box is such a valuable tool. It provides schools with a variety of leveled books and practical support for teachers, giving children the chance to read at their own level and develop a true love for reading.
Improvements
In our last update we wrote about registering on different platforms, which we hope will help more schools discover our library in a box and see how it can benefit them. We are also currently revising our book list. This is an exercise we do regularly to ensure we get the most books for the price and choose the right books for different reading levels. By reviewing the list carefully, we can make sure children have access to books that match their abilities and interests, making reading both enjoyable and effective. It also allows us to include new titles, keeping the library fresh and engaging for every student.
New Partners
We are always looking for more partners who want to support a school with a library. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please let us know. We love sharing the joy of reading!

Dear Supporters,
Thank you for your support over the past months! Because of you, we can keep training teachers and sending books to schools, working together with local schools so Indonesian children can grow up loving to read.
Books arrived!
In our last update, we shared that we sent 8 BookBoxes to Papua. We also received a donation that allowed us to send 9 more BookBoxes to 9 different provinces. All 9 boxes have now arrived, and we are receiving beautiful photos showing how the books are being used in the different classrooms. As you can imagine, these stories and pictures are a great encouragment to us!
Small steps
Over the past months, we’ve also worked hard to register our books on different online platforms, including ones from the government. This way, we hope our books will be easier to find, especially for schools that have their own budget to buy books. All small steps, towards that future were Indonesian children grow up loving to read!
Your Network
