We are incredibly grateful for your generous support during this year's Giving Tuesday campaign, "Lets lift 100s of families out of poverty" Your contributions have made a significant impact on our mission to provide underprivileged families with the tools they need to achieve self-sufficiency and build a brighter future.

we set out to raise $100,000 to expand our microloan program. Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, we successfully raised $46,017.50. Your contributions will directly fund microloans for families who are eager to start or expand their home-based businesses. These loans provide essential capital, allowing them to purchase necessary equipment, inventory, and resources.

Imagine the impact of a small loan on a single mother seeking to start a tailoring business, or a family wanting to expand their small grocery store. These microloans are not just financial assistance; they are investments in human potential. Like we provided 4 microloans for women entrepreneur with the amount of $3000 to each women. 

We have also provided inventory for some shops. We facilitated 30 individuals with $500 to each.

We have also uplifted deserving families with interest-free micro-loans for small businesses. We helped 20 individuals with $1000 to start their own businesses.

We are pleased to share an update on how the $45,000 in funding from GlobalGiving has been utilized to support deserving families by providing them with personal loans for home-based businesses. This project has had a significant impact, empowering individuals to achieve financial independence and stability.

Project Summary

With the generous support of GlobalGiving donors, we aimed to provide financial assistance to families with limited resources who aspired to start or expand their home-based businesses. By offering these personal loans, we aimed to create sustainable income opportunities that allow families to lift themselves out of financial hardship.

Impact and Outcomes

The $45,000 in funding allowed us to provide interest-free loans to 150 deserving families, enabling them to start or grow their businesses. The families supported through these loans come from diverse backgrounds, with each family demonstrating a strong desire to become self-sufficient and improve their living conditions.

How the Funds Were Used

The funds were allocated in the following ways:

1. Loan Disbursement: The majority of the funds were distributed directly to families in the form of personal loans, typically ranging from $250 to $300 per family, depending on the specific business needs. These loans were tailored to suit various business types, including sewing, small-scale food production, handicrafts, and more.
2. Business Support and Training: A portion of the funds was used to provide training and resources for the loan recipients. Families received guidance on budgeting, inventory management, and basic marketing to help ensure the success and sustainability of their businesses.
3. Ongoing Monitoring and Support: To maximize the impact of these loans, we established a monitoring process to track progress and provide support as needed. This included regular check-ins and advice from mentors to address challenges and celebrate successes.

Long-Term Impact

By supporting these home-based businesses, this project has done more than just provide immediate financial relief. It has created a foundation for long-term financial independence, enabling families to sustain and grow their businesses over time. The success of these families will likely inspire others in the community, creating a ripple effect that promotes self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship.

Next Steps

We plan to continue monitoring the progress of these businesses and will reinvest any repaid loan funds to support additional families. With further support, we hope to expand this initiative, reaching even more families and creating additional pathways out of poverty.
