Some stories capture the very essence of hope that your donations defend.
When Aliya and Junaid’s newborn son arrived at our NICU, the situation was dire. Suffering from severe Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) and Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), he was immediately placed on a ventilator, fighting for each breath. His parents, already facing the strains of poverty with three other children, held little hope.
For four tense days, our NICU team worked tirelessly. Then, a turning point: he was successfully extubated. Gradually, he grew stronger, weaning off oxygen support entirely.
Today, at 2.5 months old, he is a healthy, active baby at home with his overjoyed family. "We had no hope when we came," they shared, "but the team never gave up. They gave us our son back." From the brink of loss, your support helped return a thriving child to a grateful family, a transformation that defines our mission.
With Gratitude,
Dr. Sarah Ahmed
