Provide Bread to1000 Families in Gaza & Syria

As part of our ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the most vulnerable families in northern Syria, our team successfully distributed fresh bread to the family of Souad, a young girl living with her parents and her elderly grandmother in Ihtimalat Camp, northern Syria.

This family faces extremely difficult living conditions due to prolonged displacement and the lack of a stable source of income. Bread remains one of the most essential daily food items, yet it is often difficult for families in the camps to secure it consistently. This timely intervention helped ease part of the family’s daily burden and ensured access to a basic food necessity that supports dignity and minimal stability.

Your generous support had a direct and meaningful impact, bringing reassurance and relief to Souad’s family—especially to her elderly grandmother and to Souad herself, who rely heavily on humanitarian assistance to meet their daily needs.

Amid the severe humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip—marked by ongoing blockade, repeated escalations, rising poverty, and widespread food insecurity—bread has become a critical daily necessity for thousands of families struggling to survive.

Over the past year, thanks to your generous support, Amal Al-Umma Organization successfully implemented food security interventions that enabled the provision of bread to more than 3,000 Palestinian families across different areas of Gaza. Priority was given to the most vulnerable households, including displaced families, female-headed households, elderly individuals, and families caring for orphans.

Nature of the Intervention

Bread distribution activities were based on:

• Field-based needs assessments identifying the most urgent priorities.
• Clear targeting mechanisms to ensure fairness and reach those most in need.
• Local coordination and direct field implementation despite significant security and logistical challenges.

This intervention provided daily support that helped families secure one of their most essential food items and reduced the growing financial burden caused by limited income and rising prices.
