Bread That Eases Hardship: Supporting Marwa's Family in the Ahtimilat Camp, Northern Syria

By HASAN SADIK | Project leader

Dear Supporter

Mrs. Marwa lives with her two children and her elderly mother in Ahtimilat Camp in northern Syria, where the family faces extremely difficult living conditions. Life in the camp lacks even the most basic elements of stability, and with rising prices and the absence of job opportunities, many families are unable to secure their daily needs—especially bread, which remains the primary staple food for displaced Syrian families.

Marwa carries the full responsibility of caring for her children and her aging mother, whose health issues make the family’s situation even more fragile. In these harsh circumstances, having access to bread on a regular basis becomes essential for ensuring the well-being of the children, the mother, and the grandmother.

Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide bread directly to this family, helping them secure their daily food and easing some of the heavy burdens they bear. This support brought a sense of relief to Marwa, who expressed her gratitude to everyone extending a helping hand at a time when the circle of need grows wider every day.

Providing bread is not just a food item—it is a message of solidarity, reassuring vulnerable families that they are not forgotten and that there are people standing beside them through their most difficult moments.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all donors, whose continued support keeps hope alive and helps vulnerable families endure despite the harsh circumstances.
