Hi there! Imagine a world where all girls get to go to school, follow their dreams, and make their own choices about their future. That's what we're trying to help make happen in parts of Africa.
Did you know that in some places, girls are married off really young, sometimes even before they finish growing up? It's called child marriage, and it can stop girls from getting an education and staying healthy.
Why does this happen? Well, sometimes families are very poor, and they think marrying their daughter off will help them get money or have one less person to take care of. But it's not a good solution. It can lead to girls having babies when they're still kids themselves, which is risky for their health. It also means they can't finish school, which limits their chances to get good jobs later on.
We're trying to change that! We want to help girls stay in school and learn. We also want to help their families find ways to earn money so they don't feel like they have to marry off their daughters. We want to teach everyone about the dangers of child marriage and support girls who have been affected by it.
Just like you need support from your parents and teachers to grow up happy and healthy, these girls need our support too. By helping them get an education and learn new skills, we're giving them the chance to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
We're almost there! We've raised a lot of money, but we still need a little more to reach our goal. Every little bit helps!
