Dear Generous Donor,
When the lights go out and the cameras move on from the Syrian scene, there remain small hearts beating with need, and weary souls battling hunger, neglect, and the weight of time.
Though the sound of gunfire has faded, the war still rages in the everyday details of Syrian children's lives — in torn tents, in missing schoolbooks, and in faces that haven’t smiled in years.
Layan…
A little girl no older than six, yet her eyes carry the burden of decades.
She lives with her mother in a tiny tent in one of northern Syria’s displacement camps. No toys, no school, no warmth — only painful memories of a father and siblings she lost, and a mother worn down by grief, hunger, and fear.
Their fragile tent struggles against the cold and heat, barely shielding them from the freezing winter or the blazing summer — yet it shelters a story of pain, patience, and survival.
One day, we were there — thanks to your donations.
We entered the camp carrying loaves of bread. Simple in appearance, but profound in meaning.
We handed Layan a piece of bread, and she clutched it in her small hands as though holding onto life itself.
She looked at her mother and smiled — a smile they hadn't seen in months.
To her, that bread wasn’t just food. It was proof that someone out there still sees her, still cares.
Your generosity is not just support — it’s life.
The Bread Distribution Project isn’t just about feeding the hungry. It’s a form of resistance against poverty, abandonment, and despair.
It’s a message that says: You are not forgotten.
Dear donor,
With every loaf of bread you help provide, there is a prayer from a mother’s heart, a smile from a child, and a tear of gratitude that cannot be measured.
We ask you to continue — to remain a pillar of hope for those who have nothing left but the kindness of people like you.
With many thanks.
