By Natasha Wilson | Senior Technical Lead
We recently experienced a difficult setback after two attempts to drill a new borehole in one community both came up dry, despite positive results from the hydrological survey. Sadly, this means we have had to pause work in that community for now, as further drilling is not currently viable.
However, we are moving forward with urgency and purpose. We are now in the process of signing a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to drill a borehole for another community near Terat, where families are in desperate need of clean, safe drinking water.
Alongside this, we have continued to maintain existing infrastructure. At the current Terat water supply, we recently replaced a borehole motor that had reached the end of its working life, ensuring continued access to water for the community.
Your support directly helps bring clean, safe drinking water to those who need it most. Funds are needed now more than ever as we continue to identify communities in urgent need — especially following our unfortunate failed drilling attempts. Thank you for standing with us through both the challenges and the progress.
