RARE YEMENI TIGERS FACE IMMINENT EXTINCTION

Dear GlobalGiving Donors and Supporters,

We have good news and bad news for you. We will start with the good news. Support Yemeni Society Organization's Team with the support of GlobalGiving and your generous support still implementing the humanitarian project "Rescue and Save Rare Yemeni Tiger from Extinction" https://goto.gg/46231 for the fourth time. Thanks, and gratitude to you all.

In the three past stages, we did our best to protect the rare Yemeni tigers from illegal poaching. We launched several awareness-raising campaigns about the importance of this National Animal that is endangered with extinction.

Dear Generous Donors,

In this stage SYS Organization's Team continues the efforts in this regard as follows:

- We launch awareness-raising campaigns on social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

- We paid a visit to Bani Qais Nature Preserve.

- Our volunteer team in Abyan Governorate launched an awareness-raising campaign about the risks of poaching the Yemeni Tiger.

The bad News!! It is catastrophic that two rare Yemeni tigers were killed in Abyan Governorate, and another Yemeni tiger died in Taiz Zoo last week.

We at SYS Organization need to launch a national awareness-raising campaign about the importance of the Arabian Tiger and the dangers of poaching it especially, in Hajjah, Sa'adah, AlDhalea, and Abyan Governorates where the Yemeni Tigers still live.

Keep Supporting Rare Yemeni Tigers

Support Yemeni Society Organization's Team continues implementing the project "Rescue and Save Rare Yemeni Tiger from Extinction" https://goto.gg/46231. SYS Organization would like to send its thanks to GlobalGiving and to YOU for your continuous support.

What We Did So Far

In the first two stages of implementing this project, SYS Organization's Team has conducted many activities and campaigns. We enrolled the volunteer team of six persons who believe in the importance of saving this rare and significant animal from extinction. Besides, we conducted two awareness-raising campaigns about protecting Yemeni Tiger from illegal poaching. Moreover, thousands of flyers about the Yemeni Tiger and its symbolism were distributed to people in Bani Qais District as well as in Sana'a the capital city. SYS Organization's Team also paid visits to Sana'a zoo where some Yemeni Tigers are kept to check the conditions of those tigers in the zoo. We also pulled out the snares in the Bani Qais Nature Preserve.

In this stage, SYS Organization's Team paid a visit again to Sana'a zoo. There, they held a public meeting with the zoo visitors discussing the importance of this rare animal and how to protect it from extinction. Again, we distributed flyers about the Yemeni Tiger.

SYS Organization is interested in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 15 which deals with Life on Land. One of its targets states "Take urgent action to end poaching and trafficking of protected species of flora and fauna and address both demand and supply of illegal wildlife products." Therefore, with your support, we will achieve it.
