Great News!

Mommy dog and puppies all successfully rehomed!

Hello again!

The COVID Pandemic seems to have run its course here in Eswatini, and life is returning to a more normal pattern with restrictions lifted and being able to travel more freely.

We have started to undertake some much-needed renovation work at our Mbabane Shelter, with the assistance of a team from United World College Waterford Kamhlaba Eswatini.  We are revamping our Hospital Pens, fitting a new roof, repairing badly damaged concrete work and re-fencing its exercise yard, thus making it fully usable once again.  We have also screened off an area for refuse, re-cycling and storage which has made our entrance area much tidier.

We have more great news!  In June, we were able to successfully run 2 rural clinics Spaying and Neutering 82 cats and dogs and treating a further 126 animals.  This made us very happy as we had to curtail these activities due to the Covid restrictions.

Over the past few months, we have seen an increase in the number of pups and kittens handed over to us but are experiencing great difficulty finding good homes for them.  Our Staff and Volunteers work very hard at socializing them all, thus making them more adoptable.

We are busy working on our ‘fund-raising’ programme, as once the economy is restored to more normal levels, we hope to be able to resume our annual events, but in the meantime we are forever grateful to you all for your support over these past 2 years.

Thank you for your continued support.
