So now we are in the middle of our winter with night temperatures going as low as 6, which may be mild for you, but cold for us. Extra blankets etc in the kennels and a little extra food helps our residents. On top of that we have had light snowfalls on the high ground, most unusual!
But to let you see the progress we have made with our new Kitchen and re-vamped Hospital Kennels; we attach a few photos. The wiring on the kennels is not yet complete, but we’re nearly there. Also, just the Heat Lamps to be fitted and the hospital pens can be used once again. We have also re-built our Entrance Wall, as someone wilfully drove into it and knocked it down!
We held our Bingo Night and Golf Day, both exceeding our expectations, so our next big Fund-Raiser will be our Christmas Fair in early December.
Before that though, we have two Spay/Neuter Clinics to run, this is always a very satisfying occupation. The comments after a month or so are very gratifying to hear. The turn-out should be good as we are seeing a definite improvement in social activity after the end of Covid.
We thank you all for your continued support and hope to show you the finished buildings in our next report.
Best wishes from the Staff & Animals in Eswatini.
