Alongside clinical work, FONTEN strengthened community outreach through multiple Clinique Mobile Nova Hope for Haiti sessions (34 participants on 11 July, 36 on 22 August, 36 on 12 September, and 19 on 10 October), as well as two Trainings: a stroke training with 41 participants (31 July) and a gonarthrosis sensitization session with 31 participants (22 September). FONTEN also trained 20 staff from Maison de Naissance on early signs of psychomotor developmental delay, reinforcing early detection for at-risk infants. A major milestone of the quarter was the celebration of the International Day of Occupational Therapy, highlighted by an amputee soccer match and inclusive sports activities that brought together over 300 participants, promoting visibility, dignity, and inclusion for people with disabilities.
With a patient-centered approach and strong community engagement, FONTEN continues to restore movement, independence, and hope for individuals and families across southern Haiti.
