Solar Energy Light in the Life of Rural People

159 Minority & schedule cast needs solar lights near Matli

About 159 families belongs to the Hindu schedule cast, poor, vulnerable and residing in the old houses with poor socio-economic decline since last 5 years, consecutive water shortage & floods in 2025 creates lot of problems for them. Poor households do not have enough food to eat and families facing heavy loans of landlords and middleman about each family has 25,000 to 50,000 loan which is disturbed the livelihood of about 3,000 families. The meeting conducted in end of 2014 in a village, the families’ share that they need’s support and solar lights at their houses because they are not been able to purchase kerosene oil. We hope that this report will help donors to understand the situation and donate to this project for SOLAR LIGHTS for poor minority families facing poverty.
