Support 1,000+ Survivors of Sexual Abuse in Uganda

Thank you for supporting the healing of survivors of abuse and the prevention of future violence. Nyaka's effort to protect children starts at home, often with the grandmothers that are participate in our program and care for vulnerable children. Over 23,000 grandmothers across three districts in Southwest Uganda have joined Nyaka Grandmother Groups, where they receive microloans to start small businesses, along with other resources and support from Nyaka and from each other. These incredible women care for more than 90,000 vulnerable and orphaned children, changing lives and transforming the next generation for the better.

We are proud to share our newest film, Sowing Tomorrow, which highlights the inspiring stories of three grandmothers who have overcome incredible adversity and are now thriving as part of Nyaka’s Grandmother Program.
