Urgent Appeal :Help the afflicted in Gaza

In light of the severe humanitarian conditions facing the Gaza Strip and the ongoing shortage of safe drinking water, we continue our humanitarian efforts to provide clean water to the most vulnerable Palestinian families—particularly in northern Gaza, where basic infrastructure and essential services have been critically damaged.

During the recent period, our team was able to reach a number of Palestinian families in Al-Daraj neighborhood in northern Gaza, one of the areas most affected by the crisis. We successfully distributed safe drinking water to these families, helping meet their daily needs and reduce serious health risks caused by contaminated water sources.

This urgent humanitarian intervention aims to:

• Provide families with a safe and reliable source of drinking water.
• Alleviate the suffering caused by water scarcity and high costs.
• Protect children and the elderly from diseases linked to unsafe water.

Gaza is facing a severe food security crisis as a result of years of blockade, repeated escalations, and deteriorating economic conditions. Many families—particularly those headed by women, with children, or caring for elderly members—are struggling to access sufficient and nutritious food. Rising prices and limited income have turned food access into a daily challenge.

In response to these urgent needs, Amal Al-Umma Organization continues to implement food security interventions in Gaza based on field-identified priorities. Our activities include the distribution of essential food parcels, hot meals, and emergency food assistance aimed at ensuring minimum nutritional intake for the most vulnerable households, while preserving dignity and fairness in aid delivery.

Despite significant challenges related to access and supply chains, our interventions rely on clear targeting criteria, local coordination, and on-the-ground monitoring to ensure assistance reaches those who need it most. Our approach remains flexible and responsive to rapidly changing conditions.

Thanks to donor support, thousands of meals have reached families at risk of hunger, helping ease daily food-related stress and improve household stability. As the crisis continues, we remain committed to food security as a life-saving humanitarian priority and to supporting the resilience of affected communities.
