In Gaza, Childhood Is a Battle But Your Support Is the Light

By MUHAMMED DEEBEH | Project leader

Dear Donor,

In the besieged Gaza Strip, children no longer dream of much…
Their greatest wish is to sleep without the sound of bombs, to wake up to the smell of bread—not smoke, and to live just one day without fear, without loss, and without tears.

Orphans in Gaza pay the price of war twice:
once when they lose their fathers, and again when they are deprived of safety and a decent life.
Childhood here is not what we know—it is premature pain and burdens too heavy for such small shoulders.

In the Al-Malaeb Camp in northern Gaza, young Kholoud lives with her mother after they were forced to flee their home, which was completely destroyed.
Kholoud, a little girl who lost her father to a brutal airstrike, tries hard to smile… but she never forgets.
Her mother quietly fights to shield her daughter from hunger and despair.

Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide Kholoud with financial sponsorship, which helped her mother secure essential needs—food, clothing, and medicine—
bringing a sense of calm back into a home worn down by displacement and grief.

Your donation was not just money—it was love, safety, and healing for wounds that never seem to close.

Let’s continue this journey together,
for Kholoud, and for every child waiting for a kind hand in the dark.
You are Gaza’s hope—don’t let it fade.

May Allah reward you,
Amal Alumma Team
