AHD village Development Model brings sustainable Development in rural communities in Pakistan

Pakistan floods 2022 hit hard, created high vulnerability due to climate change effects. One third of the country has been under water and 33 million people have been affected nearly 8 million people reportedly displaced and 1750 deaths reported so far.

The scale of unprecedented disaster affected the whole Pakistan, especially rural areas where agriculture, livelihood and infrastructure have been devastated.   In this scenario AHD stepped in to help rural people in Pakistan through IVDM activities and awareness to climate change effects on human life and environment.

Help farmers to learn & install AHD FES Cooking stove & save daily 5 kg wood by 01 Family

Poverty increased in Pakistan with passage of time and the reason is floods, disasters and water shortage and Pakistan getting hot day by day and the climate change and climate effects more since past 10 years and now Lower Sindh getting more hot in summer and needs to cool the lower Sindh via planting trees Fruit and Forest by farmers and rural women take part in tree plantation and maximum install cooking stove to cool the land and lower Sindh, estimate AHD helped 360,000 families with Fuel Efficient Cooking Stove installed and in use per Stove saved 5 kg wood and 360,000 X 5 = 1,800,000 daily wood saved and in one year total saved wood is KG 657,000,000 and 40kg mound 16,425,000 in tons 821,250 that saved CO2 and Carbon in tons. Hope team GlobalGiving look into this cooking stove and help rural women with large scale to save their eyes, health and diseases.

Next quarter AHD plans to help 500 more families that will save 2,500 KG wood and in one year will save 912,500 kg wood.
